Korean-to-English document translation with PDF layout reconstruction through the PAW engine
DOG-E translates Korean documents into English while preserving their page layout with a custom Python algorithm I developed. Built the Next.js frontend with document uploads to the translation API, progress updates over server-sent events, and downloads of completed translations.
Developed the PAW PDF engine to read text coordinates and font data directly from PDFs without OCR and fit translated text back into the page while retaining images and graphics. Added a browser editor for reviewing and editing translations before saving.
